Please, people of Europe, can we start demanding more phone colours? I'm tired of silver and black.
(Japanese montage taken from istyle magazine - my favourite. I'll write more about this magazine later. Colours are a bit off in the scan.)

Most phones sold in Japan are still silver, though 4 years and the situation was more extreme. For years the Japanese market was dominated by silver with variations in silver-pink, silver-blue.
Colours are cyclical.

Do you actually know how this silver color thing started in the first place? I looked for it a bit, to figure out the origin and why every device i own has to look silver, but couldn't find an answer. Most logical guess was imitating the look of metal or silver, to make cheap materials like plastic look sturdier and more expensive than they are, still, even if that's the case, who started it?
